The Crusade - Sir Ian Chesterton

An adventure that sees the travellers meeting Richard the Lionheart in the Holy Lands

During the course of the perils and political maneuvering, Ian Chesterton is knighted and is once again on a mission to save Barbara from a fate worse than death.

Story background: 1965, written by David Whitaker, produced by Verity Lambert. Notable for: Jean Marsh, who would later appear as companion Sara Kingdom, plays Joanna, sister of Richard the Lionheart - brilliantly. Julian Glover is also stunning in the role of King Richard. He would later appear in the Doctor Who story City of Death. He is also famous for many other genre roles including the Hammer film production of Quatermass and the Pit, The Avengers, Space 1999, Blakes 7, The Empire Strikes Back, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, Troy and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
