The Doctors subterfuge is exposed when he, Ian and Susan discover a radiation meter

He confesses there is nothing wrong with the TARDIS and that they should leave immediately. But Ian is insistent that they find Barbara first. The Doctor argues that they dare not linger - but as they bicker, the Daleks; pitiless rulers of the city, reveal themselves.
