The robot dog

Constructed by Professor Marius as a mobile computer and subsequently given to the Doctor after an adventure that saw him duplicated, shrunken in size and injected into his own brain.

Background info: K9 was introduced in the 1977 story ‘The Invisible Enemy’ by Bob Baker and Dave Martin.
